Our Student Council provides students with an opportunity to share their ideas, represent their peers and play an active role in shaping school life.
The Student Council is made up of elected representatives from each year group. Representatives are chosen by their fellow students and take on the responsibility of listening to the views, ideas and concerns of their classmates and bringing these to the Council.
Developing student leadership
Being a member of the Student Council provides students with valuable opportunities to develop their leadership, communication, teamwork, organisation and problem-solving skills. Students learn how to listen to different perspectives, discuss ideas constructively and work together to find solutions.
Council members meet regularly to discuss issues that are important to students and to consider ways in which school life can be improved. They work collaboratively with staff and school leadership, ensuring that student perspectives are considered as part of the wider life of the school. We are proud of the enthusiasm, commitment and ideas that our students bring to the Council.
