Debating has a strong tradition in St. Mary's College. Our junior debaters meet on a weekly basis and discuss and debate various motions to enhance their critical thinking and develop their speaking skills. It's also a lot of fun!
St. Mary's College is involved in an inter-school Debating league with Naas CBS and Pipers Hill College. The students take part in two debates each year with both schools. It provides both the students and the school with an excellent opportunity to mix with peers and to develop lasting links.
