Well done to Aoife Rowe (4L)and Reshmeen Bibi (4K), who are among the regional finalists announced today for Junk Kouture 22-23.
Their Design "Wings of Freedom", as seen here on Aoife, was upcycled and recreated from an old pair of denim jeans, blue windbreaker bags, cardboard and preloved fabric.
The kimono-style belt was hand embroidered in a style reminiscent of Reshmeen's Indian heritage and culture.
The wing-like sleeves represent freedom from judgement for those with disabilities.
