Today, 1st February is the inaugural Ceiliúradh CEIST day. Ceiliúradh CEIST day marks the 15th anniversary of the signing of the CEIST Charter. CEIST (Catholic Education, an Irish Schools Trust) is built on the founding vision of the five Congregations, emphasising the dignity and rights of the human person, empowering the most vulnerable in society and enabling young people to become catalysts for social transformation throughout the world.
Events to mark the day included:
- A Whole School Assembly where we were joined by Sr. Brigid who read the morning prayer.
- A presentation to Sr. Brigid from the staff to mark St. Brigid's Day.
- A lunchtime concert where our school choir and grupa ceoil performed.
- A tree planting ceremony at St. Helen's, the Sisters of Mercy residence on the school campus.
Beannachtaí ar Lá Fhéile Bríde and congratulations to all the 108 CEIST schools celebrating Ceiliuradh CEIST with us today.
